Bamboo Straws

I've had my bamboo straws for a few months now, and I really liked them, but I used one this morning and as it sat (dry) on my desk it developed a crack down the full length of the straw that makes it unusable. My guess is that over time it had absorbed enough moisture from my drinks that it weakened and eventually cracked. If you buy one, make sure to really dry it thoroughly after each use and that will hopefully prevent the problem! I will be switching to metal straws or a similar alternative that's a bit more durable.

I purchased a bamboo straw from Green Life Trading (one of my fav places to shop). I love it. It’s light, easy to clean, easy to bring with me. Seems to be durable thus far. I’ve only hand washed it. It does have a large outer diameter so if you wanted to use it to drink though a cap with a straw hole it might not fit but it’s great for open-topped containers.
