These Rice Straw Brooms are made from waste material that would otherwise likely be burned. Rice straw, I byproduct of rice farming, is so abundant that it is often burned after the rice harvest. This burning process is a major contributor to the high levels of air pollution in South and Southeast Asia.
These Rice Straw Brooms are great for cleaning up small messes in and around the house. The water-resistant fiber makes this brush ideal for wet or dry spills. To clean, just rinse the brush, shake out the excess water, and hang to dry.

Hadn't seen one of these small brooms in years. We called them whisk brooms, for small cleanups around the house. This one is well made. Actually bought it as a reminder of my mom, who always put hers to good use. I expect to do the same.
