Rolling into summer with sustainable transportation.

We love biking! We love the feeling of seeing a friend pass us by with a wave and a smile on the bike path, the boldness of knowing that there will (almost) always be a perfect spot to park our bikes close by to where we’re headed, and the peace of knowing that we’re choosing a sustainable form of transportation to get around that positively impacts our community and the world around us. We love biking so much that we’ve woven it into the fabric of our operations here at Green Life with…

  • Eco Bucks: a green initiative that rewards our employees with a cash incentive for biking, walking or taking the bus to work.
  • Customer Bike Discount: customers that bike to the shop receive a 5% discount on their order total. Just show us your helmet.
  • Bi-weekly Bike Transfer: items that are stored at our warehouse space on the Northside of Madison (mostly 5 gallon buckets of liquid products and an assortment of merchandise) are transported to the shop via bike courtesy of our friend Tom and his trusty trailer.

We’re also elated to be a part of Madison Bike Week 2024 with the triumphant return of Bacon Cheddar Waffles, Lattes and Product Samples on June 4th from 7 am to 8:30 am on the northwest corner of E Wilson St. and S. Dickinson St. This fun and free community event is in collaboration with The Cargo Bike Shop and Cafe Domestique (our beloved Williamson Street neighbors). All are welcome to stop by to grab some breakfast and sample a highly popular mystery Green Life Trading Co. product (limit one per biker).

Whether it’s at a Madison Bike Week event, at the shop, or out on the bike path, we hope to see you soon!
