Why should I stop using paper towels?

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, in 2015 American’s generated about 7.4 billion pounds of waste made up of paper towels and other “tissues” (The Atlantic). If we think of this as a small slice of the total waste produced by Americans from year to year, things start to get daunting.

Generally speaking, a reusable item is almost always the more favorable option for sustainability. So why is it seen as normal to throw away endless amounts of paper towels (and money)? We’re still scratching our heads about this one.

What is better to use than paper towels?

At our shop and at home, a reusable & washable cloth UnPaper Towel from EcoSense Goods is our dependable eco-friendly swap. Hand made in Waunakee, WI using solar power, these soft cotton flannel cloths are super soft and super absorbent.

What can you use UnPaper Towels for?
