In Focus: Rustic Strength

Posted by Hanna Kohn on

Dish soap, laundry detergent, hand wash, and rinse aid. These are all household staples that we provide from beloved brand Rustic Strength

Why is Rustic Strength sustainable (and totally craveable)?

When you fill up on bulk products such as Lavender Vanilla Coconut Hand Wash or Grapefruit Dish Soap from Green Life, you are participating in a highly integrated system that minimizes waste.

Before Rustic Strength products become available to be pumped into your container at our shop, they are transported in five gallon buckets from their manufacturing facility in Mansfield, Missouri. Once the precious liquids arrive via careful transport to the Green Life warehouse in Madison, WI, they are sorted and stored. When the need for more Concentrated Cleaning Vinegar or Bubble Bath at our shop arises, we transport the five gallon buckets via cargo bike to our shop where they are tapped and poured into pump jars for easy refill access.

Once every last drop of liquids in the buckets have been fully drained at our shop, we clean out any residue and send empty buckets back to our warehouse. Empty buckets are then stored at our warehouse until we have collected around 200 to send back to Rustic Strength where the buckets are sanitized and reused for more plant powered cleaning flow. All that being said, we’re seriously proud of this closed loop system that eliminates the need for single-use bottles and diverts packaging from landfills. Three cheers for Rustic Strength! They make it easy for you to enjoy their formulas in an Earth-honoring way.
