Green Life Trading Co. was founded in October of 2018 with the mission to be a one stop shop for all things zero waste. You could find Founder and Owner, Sasha and her father, Howard at holiday shows and night markets around Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago.

In the spring of 2020 Green Life opened a retail location and expanded product offerings to become Madison’s premier bulk refill store, offering  everything from face wash to laundry detergent.

Every other Tuesday, members drop off full Green Boxes at Green Life Trading Co. in exchange for a clean one. While you're at it, enjoy 10% off at Green Life Trading Co.

We partnered with our friends Green Box Compost and had a blast bringing together local makers, retailers and service providers that make going green a breeze.

Green Life and Green Box brought Zero Waste Madison on board to host a Repair Fair in the middle of the Earth Day Fair! We hosted over 20 sustainable businesses and non-profits as well as over two dozen volunteer fixers!

The Green Life team along side a dozen customers and community members toured the landfill and learned what happens after our items get "thrown away".

You no longer fill your own container at Green Life. Instead, we do it for you! You just bring them in, tell us what you want, and go explore the store while we do the rest. Think deli counter energy, but instead of cold cuts you leave with laundry detergent and hair gel.
