Use a pliers to remove the bristles from wooden brush.

Collect bristles in a secure metal container like a recycling tin or can. When full, secure container so no items can fall out and recycle.

Toss wooden brush into your Green Box or at home compost. For faster result, break wood into smaller pieces.
