Bernie is a queer artist, art educator, and the creative entrepreneur behind Bernie & Zuzu; a brand as bold and full of life as its name suggests.
Bernie & Zuzu is named for two Madison icons: Bernie the artist, and Zuzu, the founding cat who started it all. The late and great Zuzu was beloved for her playful energy and deeply affectionate spirit, an essence lives on in every piece the brand creates. Bernie & Zuzu is all about unique, one-of-a-kind goods bursting with bold, bright color.

Swedish Dishcloths are one of our favorite zero-waste swaps: each one replaces up to 17 rolls of paper towels, is made from plant cellulose and cotton, and 100% at home compostable at the end of its life. Now they come in Bernie's signature bold, bright style.
